Wednesday 23rd November 2011
I have been away this last weekend, which is why this week’s entry is late.
We received another waif Hedgehog over the weekend. This one will be joining the other one at ‘Hedgehog Towers’ in my back garden. This one has already been eating like a horse, so I don’t think there are any underlying problems. Like the other one, (all being well), it will be released next April at a suitable site.
Mia, our imprint Long-eared Owl has back to the vet; the wound on her nether region has now been confirmed as a burst abscess. She is making a slow recovery. Fingers crossed.
At present, the keepers are undertaking the yearly cycle of overhauling the aviaries, ready for next year’s breeding season.
